Stretch Belt Install
Most of our newer treadmills and incline trainers use a stretch drive belt. What does this mean for you? That there will never be any adjusting as the belt stretches from use. The only downside is that if you do need to replace the belt it can be a little tricky. But with these instructions and video we will hopefully take the tricky parts and show you how easy it can be.
As always when working on your treadmill you need to unplug it from the wall. Where we will also be working under the Motor Hood of your exercise equipment today you will need to remove it. The instructions to remove your Motor Hood are listed within your User’s Manual under the Troubleshooting section.
With the motor hood removed you should be able to see the Motor and Drive Belt.
On some units it may help to loosen the walking belt. To do this you will use the Allen Wrench or Hex Key that was used during the assembly that came with your exercise equipment. Loosen the Idler Roller Adjustment Screws by turning them to the left, or counterclockwise. Do not remove them completely. As you loosen the Walking Belt you will notice that the Drive Belt also gets looser.
The next portion of the instructions vary depending on the treadmill that you purchased. For the step by step instructions please follow the Replacement Instructions that came with your new Drive Belt. You can also see video tutorials on the basic instructions that will apply to most models of treadmill or incline trainer.
